Types of Accommodations
A Family Room is for 2 people. Family Rooms share a communal bathroom with other families.
A Teacher Room is for Teacher Workshop Participants only. Teacher Rooms share a communal bathroom with other TWP’s.
Each room comes with the following per bed: a pillow and a blanket.
Students under the age of 18 must be supervised at all times. Students 12 years old and younger must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Teenagers 13 years and older (as of the first day of institute), who will be staying on campus but will not be accompanied by a parent, must stay in the Teen Dorm to be supervised by the Teen Dorm Monitors. About the Dormitories at Occidental College
The residence halls at Occidental College are air conditioned and offer a variety of common spaces, lounges and outdoor areas for informal gathering. A partial linen package is provided, including a pillow and blanket. Guests should bring their own Twin XL sheets and towels. Beds will not be made prior to arrival. If you tend to be cold, we recommend bringing an extra blanket, as additional blankets may not be available on site.
No pets are allowed in the residence halls.

Sheets, Occidental only provides one blanket.
An extra pillow, Occidental only provides one per bed.

Teen Dorm
TEEN DORMITORY RESERVATIONS MUST BE BOOKED BY MAY 15TH.
Teenagers 13 years and older (as of the first day of institute), who will be staying on campus but will not be accompanied by a parent, must stay in the Teen Dorm to be supervised by the Teen Dorm Monitors. Teens are supervised by the Teen Dorm Monitors 24/7—eating meals together, attending concerts together and enjoying down time together.
The cost of the Teen Dorm includes 5 nights in the dorm with a roommate in a Double Room (Sunday-Friday), 5 breakfasts (Monday-Friday), 5 lunches (Monday-Friday) and 5 dinners (Sunday-Thursday). During dorm registration you can make roommate requests.
If your student is planning on boarding in the Teen Dorm but is not in the Young Artist program (either Foundational or PREP) please send a note to the director.
Meal Plans
The Marketplace on Occidental College’s campus can accommodate any special dietary requests. You can make requests during registration.
Meal Times:
Breakfast 7:00-9:30am
Lunch 11:00am-1:30pm
Dinner 5:00-7:00pm
You must purchase a meal plan in order to eat meals on campus. Walk-in meals are NOT available.

Parking
The parking lot at Occidental College is free for those staying in the dorm and commuting. EV stations are available for electric vehicles.
Off-Campus Boarding
There are hotels in the area very close to campus as well. Please note that area hotels book up quickly so reserve early to ensure a spot! Here are links to a couple:
